500th Blog Post

It’s official…yesterday’s post marked our 500th blog post here at Angie’s Roost.  Thus, Photoshopping my face onto a celebrity talk show host’s body (one who celebrated her 500th show with glittery numbers) is totally appropriate.

That picture totally resonates how I feel about hitting the 500th post mark…kind of fabulous…a little bit glam (hello ginourmous gold “500″) and a lot a bit sassy!  Besides, who doesn’t want a glittery intro filled with smoke to celebrate their 500th post (or show)?!  That’s what I thought.  And yes…that really is my face on Wendy Williams body…as in Wendy Williams from the Wendy Williams Show…and yes…I believe I have in fact lost my mind.  If you find it, could you please return it?  No, never mind…the loaner is working out pretty good for me.

In reality, this is more like how Colby and I celebrate…with power tools and old clothes with holes in them.

So we’re just gonna take a moment and celebrate all that is our 500th blog post…don’t mind us.  Okay…moment’s up.  Back to reality.  Anyway, I can’t believe that I’ve written 500 of these things.  Technically, Colby has written two of them before he decided blogging was hard and went back to his man cave to ogle his power tools.

I know the big bloggers pull down 500 plus of these things in a year.  But alas…I am not a professional blogger and just do this blogging thing as a hobby.  Good thing too otherwise I would be poor and eating 50 cent cans of soup out of my shoe because I can’t afford a bowl.  Anyway…here’s to 500 more!  And now for the speech I’ve prepared:  ”I would first like to thank the academy my family, my handy hubby, and of course Goose…because if it wasn’t for them there would be no Angie’s Roost.  And finally, here’s to you dear readers for energizing us to keep on keeping on, working on the house and blogging about our antics.  You’re the best.  Peace out!”  I’ve always wanted to end a speech with “peace out”.

Pssst…Anyone else out there celebrating a milestone recently?  Did you also Photoshop yourself onto a celebrity’s body?  I can’t be the only fool who does that!  Or did you do something today that is totally smoke-entrance-worthy?  You know…like pick up the kids after basketball practice on time?  Totally deserves a smokin’ entry!
