This Is Happening Like Right Now Happening

This is happening right now.  Like, right, right now.  And I couldn’t be more excited.  So excited that I postponed the “how to upholster a thrift store chair” for another day in lieu of this hot mess.

Mudding The Guest Room

Oh yeah, that’s my handy hubby Colby who’s been working on mudding and sanding the drywall in the guest room.  He’s the best…at construction work…not necessarily at dressing himself (note the green tee with red shorts, black socks and brown slipper combo).  I don’t even try to dress him.  He’s a lost cause.

But I’m mostly excited because we started this remodel project last spring (back here with the demo) and we’re FINALLY getting around to finishing up the heavy construction part of the remodel.  Which means…wait for it…it’s almost time to paint!  I heart painting.  Seriously…my dream weekend is spending an entire weekend painting a room…the walls…the furniture…the trim…ah bliss.  And then maybe top it off with a hot date with the hubby…as long as he doesn’t wear shorts with slippers.

Anywho, I’m uber excited with starting the guest room ball a rollin’.  And speaking of the plan, this is so sad, but I had to remind myself with what the plan was courtesy of this mood board (read more about it back here).

But anyway, back to the sanding and mudding.  We’ll spare you the dirty details, more like dusty details, but if you want a little how to, check out the post from the master bedroom remodel where we show you how to sling mud like a pro.

But back to the sanding and mudding we go.

Pssst…Anyone else out there start a major (or minor) project and then put it off for about eight months?  Did a wedding kind of get in your way too?  When in doubt, blame the wedding!
