Considering the holiday season is already ending (Happy New Year everyone!) I think it’s about time I shared my holiday home tour for the year. A little late, but better late than never, right?! I don’t know what it was about Christmas time 2016, but I was craving simple Christmas decor. Not only was I … Read more
When your nursery is tiny, there aren’t many layout options that will fit. Exploring a few floor plan ideas.
We’ve mentioned this a few times, but we have been super hesitant around the Campbell Compound (#circa1781) about doing any major renovations until we figured out what our whole house master renovation plan would be. Granted, we did do a major guest bathroom remodel but we knew that’s what we wanted without a single doubt. … Read more

Well, it’s official. It’s a girl. Baby Campbell, arriving in t-minus 3-ish months, is a girl. I’m absolutely thrilled about this girl. Granted, I would have been happy either way, boy or girl. But I’m not gonna lie, there was a part of me that was itching to start hoarding bows, tulle skirts, and pink … Read more
A nursery design plan using a gender neutral base adding accessories for either a boy or a girl.
This is definitely one of those blog posts that I’m equal parts excited yet scared to write. How has it been a month (A MONTH!) since the last time we checked in? For shame. But alas, sometimes life gets in the way. This last month of life has been a roller coaster. It’s been a little while since I’ve posted so let’s do a little recap of where we left things and what we’ve been up to this summer, shall we?! Before we get into the closet plan. It’s about time I checked in. It’s been a while. Like almost three weeks and I’m having withdrawals from you guys and the blog. Like I’m getting the shakes. And it’s not for lack of wanting to blog. It’s just, that when one blogs about their house projects and there’s a lack of projects going … Read more
Last weekend among all our Memorial Day weekend festivities and family get-togethers, I got to thinking about how last Memorial Day weekend was our first weekend with the new (to us) house. It brought back the flood of good emotions from closing day to the first box we moved in, to all the “I can’t … Read more
Before we dive headfirst into today’s post about our bathroom renovation budget, I have some gushing to do. You guys! You guys are all so so soooooo sweet with our guest bathroom reveal last week. After last week’s post about the struggles of DIY (but oh how we love it!), I wasn’t sure that we would ever finish this bathroom renovation let alone finish it in time for reveal day of the One Room Challenge. This past weekend I had one major project that I wanted to tackle in the guest bathroom remodel for the One Room Challenge…grouting the shower tile. I knew it was going to be a big project, like a buckle down because this is going to take a decent chunk of your day kind of project. … Read more
When us crazy kids middle aged folks who still act like kids, decided to tackle an entire bathroom remodel (a gut job) in just six weeks for the One Room Challenge, there was one project that was giving me anxiety yet I was uber excited to tackle. The tiling of the shower tub surround with … Read more
